In many industries, using CAD data from a variety of sources is a necessity. The PTC Creo Interface for JT Extension converts structural, geometry, and visualization information into JT files. JT is a visualization format developed by Unigraphics (Siemens NX) that allows Unigraphics NX and PTC Creo users to visualize and share 3D design data. The PTC Creo Interface for JT Extension reads and writes JT modeling data to and from PTC Creo while maintaining associativity.

About the JT (Jupiter Tesselation) format
JT is a proprietary neutral 3D data format that can be used in many 3D CAD programs as a storage format in place of native CAD data formats. This enables collaboration beyond company boundaries and internal IT landscapes, regardless of the 3D geometry modeling system. The JT format is a particularly compact and content-rich data format. Objects and metadata such as dimensions and tolerances are also supported. This makes it suitable for many applications in which CAD data is generated and processed. In December 2012, JT was officially published as the world’s first file format standard for the visualization and exchange of compressed and high-performance geometry data as an international industry standard in the first version (JT ISO V1.0): ISO 14306:2012.
