Business Administration of Windchill PDMLink

Course Description

In this course, you will learn how to perform basic Windchill PDMLink administration tasks. You will learn how to plan and create user accounts and groups, and how to plan and create information management storage strategies. Other topics will include life cycles, workflows, teams, and configuring domain policies. These skills enable a business administrator to configure Windchill PDMLink to meet business needs. After completing this course, you will be well prepared to set up and manage a basic Windchill PDMLink implementations at your company.

This course is developed by PDSVision and uses a physical server to simulate everyday administration task and recognize the changes made to the system. Each participant will create its own Windchill organization and act as the organization administrator.

Course Content

This course will teach you how to manage principals, objects, contexts, life cycles, workflows, access rights, teams and object type behavior. Also the basic system administration tasks will be covered.

Prerequisites: CAD Data Management using Windchill PDMLink or similar is recommended – not required.
Audience: This course is intended for Business Adminstrators of Windchill PDMLink.
