Creo Illustrate

Creo Illustrate

Understanding Creo Illustrate and how staying within PTC CAD applications offers an efficient workflow. Create high quality illustrations used in technical publications and work instructions. There’s no need to spend painstaking hours using lines and shapes. Save significant time by using CAD data to output high resolution technical illustrations in Creo Illustrate.

Who is it for?

  • The target audience for this session is aimed at technical publication teams which include illustrators and technical writers. They build the work instructions and documentation. They work together to build a document, typically a PDF, which is used for internal work instructions for the assembly line, or consumer facing for product end users.

What value do you get from attending?

  • Many illustrators typically use other applications (Adobe Illustrator or In Design) to create illustrations based directly off an assembly. There are two major problems. For one, this causes a lack of workflow efficiency between PTC CAD systems by having no associativity between the assembly and illustration. And secondly, Creo Illustrate can import CAD data from Parametric, and with a few easy steps, it can be set up to look like a line drawing.
  • The value for attendees is they will simply save several hours of time since illustrations do not have to be created from the ground up. No more tediously creating lines and shapes over an image of the assembly.
