ADDITIVE MANUFACTURING

Optimize and validate your CAD Designs in less time

Design, optimize and validate

This guide introduces additive manufacturing design and gives an overview of its advantages and applications, the design process and integration with the CAD system. But what exactly is AM?

Additive manufacturing (AM) is the process of creating
layers of materials to create a physical model of a
digital design, which is typically used in conjunction with
Industrial and manufacturing applications.

Originally, AM was used to reproduce parts that were originally
designed for traditional manufacturing processes.
However, without the limitations of traditional
manufacturing processes, products could be designed
for additive manufacturing (DfAM), with innovative
shapes that previously could not be made with
Casting or machining. Today, these technologies are
often embedded in the conventional manufacturing
manufacturing process.
