Challenges & Initiatives

EJOT aims to achieve the following things through the use of IIoT:

• Visualization of operating data of machines and equipment with the possibility of evaluation of individual sensors
• Making production measurable: performance evaluation and visualization of anomalies
• Data transparency across system boundaries, including from MES and ERP systems
• Avoidance of unplanned downtime
• Reduction of avoidable maintenance costs

Digital transformation affects everyone at EJOT and is not anchored in a single department. […] When you tackle such a big issue, you need someone to support you. Someone who has expertise, who knows the industry, who knows use cases and is confident in the field. And in the field of IoT we have found PDSVISION Germany as this partner. They brought a lot of their own know-how into the project with us. But what is probably much more important: They helped us to build up our own know-how. Results

PDSVISION has supported EJOT in the implementation of the IoT platform. The resulting solutions make it possible to monitor the condition and also the performance of production machines in real time and also to detect deviations from normal operating conditions. On the one hand, the solution improves the efficiency and, of course, the productivity of such a system and, on the other hand, it also helps EJOT to reduce unnecessary maintenance costs and downtimes.
